Autoresponders

One of the most important tools for business online is an Autoresponder. An Autoresponder is a must have, even if you are on a tight budget because it is
the one tool that will enable you to build a great contact list and stay in constant communication with that list.

Here are my two favorites:

Response Magic is my number one! I love it for it's
affordability and ease of use. It does everything I need it to
do - plus it has the added feature of being able to manually
add up to 20 contacts per day. Click here for details.

Get Response - another great autoresponder with excellent
functionality. A bit complex for the newbie, but an outstanding
business tool - even though you can't add contacts manually.

Safelists, Advertising, List Building

Home business success does require an amount of advertising and here are my
best and most effective choices. They all have free and pro memberships, and
I highly recommend an upgraded membership if you really want to get the most
for your advertising effort. Free is ok, but not nearly as effective, and, with most
free advertising, a paid member's ad will be appear above yours :o(

Business World List is one of the most well established,
responsive safelists on the Internet. It's my top pick for both

Flying Solos is an excellent advertising resource offering
outstanding value, along with lots of solos ads for your business
and many other resources. Click here for details.

TYL is a great list building program.The free membership is
good, and the paid is even better! Click here for details.

TrackThatAd  How are your ads pulling? Do you know
which ads are working and which are not? TTA allows you
to track your ads so that you know which ads are doing well
and which need to be tweaked, ensuring that you are always
making the most of your marketing dollar. Ad track is an
absolute essential for marketing online.

TTA offers a free version and paid. Free is very limited - and
when someone clicks your tracking link your visitor will be taken
to paid member's website before yours, so paid membership is

Leads

Home Business Leads - you're business will be dead in the water without them. You can generate your own, or you can purchase them. I do both!

Here is my hands down, all time favorite home business resource for generating my own home business leads and contacts. If I could only use one tool to build my business - this would be it, and I'm sure I don't use any other tool or resource more than this one. It's an add-on for Skype that allows you to add hundreds of new contacts to your Skype friends list every day. It's less than $15 per month and is worth so much more. Click HERE for details.

Another of my favorite ways to generate my own leads and make connections on the Internet is with Twitter. Twitter is a free Social Network and Micro-blog that makes it possible for anyone to communicate with all kinds of different people from all over the world, and the book below by Joel Comm taught me all the in's and out's of using Twitter to build my business. It's an absolute must read if you plan on using Twitter to move your business forward - and why wouldn't you - Twitter is free!:

Wow - calling leads all over the country can really be painful for your monthly phone bill. My favorite solution for home phone service gives
me so many features and all of North America is my local calling area
(translation - NO long distance!) In the US it's about $35 a month, and
in Canada it's about $40 a month - excellent value, outstanding service,
and the very best customer support I have ever experienced!

Personal Development

Ok, I am going to prattle on here a bit - but bear with me - the details here
are incredibly important...

A funny thing about working from home is that most people who end up trying to
run a home based business have no previous experience running a business of any
kind. And try as they might - they often can't seem to make it fly - and it won't fly
for a couple of reasons. First, they don't have the skills they need, and second, on
some level, they don't really believe that they can make it fly. It's as if  they are
locked into a mindset that tells them that they will never rise above their current
situation.

The most detrimental of the two is lack of belief coupled with an underlying negative
mindset. I know that personally, this was my biggest obstacle. For four years I worked
like a dog at my home business while working a full time job as well, and one day I
woke up and realized that I was working my self half to death for next to nothing. I
further realized that it wasn't the business itself that was holding me back - it was
me.

Once I made that little discovery, the next step of course was to try to sort how
how and why I was holding my self back from succeeding. I did a great deal of
reading, attended many workshops, and began my journey. I learned so much,
but the biggest step forward I took occurred just over a year ago when my journey
led me to the work of Mike Dooley.

Mike Dooley is a best friend that I have never met and his work has positively
influenced how I approach my life in every possible way. There is nothing more
that I would or could recommend to anyone if they were only able to purchase
one thing to help them make the changes they seek in their lives - And I am

As I  mentioned above, one reason that people fail in home business is that they
lack the necessary skills to succeed in business. One skill that you must master
to succeed in Network Marketing is effective communication, and my friend Tim
